|Precon: I had no preconceived notions at all. I had never heard of this band. In all honesty though, when I first read the name my gut reaction was “this band probably sucks”.
After listening: They don’t suck. They’re all right. Though to me they’re not anything special, they just sound like a punk band.
Favorite Track: Simple Song (though I hate it when bands put the best song first)
Least Favorite: Monroe Park, too repetitive and monotonous.
Overall: This wasn’t all that memorable to me. The songs were short, and I guess meant to be to the point, but I’m not sure what the point was. The 15 year old version of me probably would have loved the hell out of this, but he’s long gone, and didn’t even hear of this band until 16 years later. As usual I give it 3 stars, which is kind of unfair considering I gave Regina Spektor 3 stars and this is considerably better than that. I would listen to this band again, though I’m not sure I’d be in a hurry to listen to this particular album again.
