Granted, this is just my opinion, and others, even in this club, might not agree, but since they’re not writing this intro and I am, I’ll go ahead and say it: I think Marvin Gaye has one of the best voices of all time. It was soulful and suggestive, poignant and smooth all at the same time. While Marvin Gaye might have initially started out as one of Motown’s go-to men, by the time the 70s rolled around, it was time to add a little social commentary to the mix of harmonies and so came 1971’s What’s Going On. You’ve most likely heard the title track before:
